COTONEASTER
Cotoneaster glaucophyllus
Plant Description
Cotoneaster is a low growing, evergreen shrub that has gray colored leaves and had dense wood stems. Grows best in full sun and is heat tolerant and provides a nice color contrast in drought tolerant or rock gardens. This underused, attractive looking shrub is a great addition to your garden and grows 2-3' tall and spreads 3-4' across. Monrovia Nursery carries two interesting varieties with more notable color 'Prostrate Rock' (Cotoneaster horizontalis 'Perpusillus') and Coral Beauty (Cotoneaster dammeri 'Coral beauty') which grows in a trailing, groundcover form and often used on slopes and banks.
